First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested two types of leg exercises—clamshell and frog pump—in 92 sales workers who stand for long hours and have iliotibial band syndrome (a common cause of hip and knee pain). Participants did one of the exercises plus standard care (heat, stretching, TENS) for 12 weeks. The goal was to see which exercise better reduces pain, improves movement, and helps with daily activities.
