First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This early study tested a new radiation patch (CivaDerm) for treating common skin cancers like basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Ten adults with small tumors on their trunk or limbs received the patch treatment. The goal was to see if the device could safely deliver targeted radiation to the skin surface. Researchers monitored skin side effects and how well the radiation reached the tumor.
