First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early study tested a new radioactive patch (CivaDerm) for treating common skin cancers like basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Ten adults with small tumors on their trunk or limbs received the patch to deliver targeted radiation to the skin surface. The main goal was to check for serious skin side effects and see how well the dose reaches the tumor.
