NCT ID NCT02994069

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of giving the chemotherapy drug cisplatin alongside standard radiation for people with advanced head and neck cancer. One group gets cisplatin every three weeks, the other weekly. The goal is to see which schedule causes fewer severe side effects and to measure how oxidative stress relates to toxicity. About 80 adults with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck are enrolled.
