First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Sep 04, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a multidisciplinary program for adults with chronic back pain. Participants will attend group sessions on pain education, healthy habits, and emotional coping, plus do therapeutic exercises. The goal is to see if the program improves physical function, reduces fear of movement, and boosts quality of life. The study involves 20 people and will track results at the end of the program and six months later.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- multidisciplinary active coping program (pain neuroscience education, healthy habits, psychological support, and therapeutic exercise)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this program could offer a practical, non-drug way to help people with chronic back pain move better, feel less afraid of pain, and improve their daily lives.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small, early-stage study with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The program is also time-intensive and may not work for all types of chronic pain.
