Scientists probe Brain's role in persistent neck pain

NCT ID NCT07462416

Summary

This study looked back at existing medical records to understand how a sensitive nervous system (central sensitization) connects to pain levels, disability, sleep problems, and jaw function in people with long-term neck pain. It involved 84 adults who had experienced neck pain for at least three months. The goal was to gather knowledge to help plan better, more personalized future treatments, not to test a new therapy.
