Same-Day heart tests could speed up diagnosis and save money
NCT ID NCT05782582
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether doing several heart tests (like a CT scan, ultrasound, and blood flow scan) all in one day is faster and cheaper than the usual step-by-step approach for people with possible coronary artery disease. About 500 patients from Swedish primary care centers will take part, and researchers will track costs, test results, heart health habits, and heart events over five years. The goal is to see if the new package improves care without raising costs.
