New DNA test could sharpen leukemia diagnosis

NCT ID NCT04986657

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a new whole genome sequencing test called ChromoSeq can find more genetic changes in people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) than current standard tests. Researchers will compare ChromoSeq results to conventional methods and ask doctors if the new information changes how they treat patients. The goal is to see if ChromoSeq is practical and useful in a real hospital setting.
