Summary

This study looks at how living in extreme isolation for a year affects the immune system. Nine healthy volunteers will spend from November 2025 to November 2026 on the remote Kerguelen Islands. Before they leave, researchers collect blood, saliva, stool, urine, and hair samples to establish a baseline for later comparison.
