New combo therapy could boost stroke recovery

Summary
This study tests whether adding a clot-dissolving medicine directly into the brain artery improves outcomes for stroke patients who already had a mechanical procedure to remove a large clot. About 440 adults with acute ischemic stroke will be randomly assigned to receive either the extra drug or no extra drug. The goal is to see if more patients can live independently 90 days later.
