NCT ID NCT07172009

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using chlorhexidine mouthwash affects blood sugar levels after eating. Healthy adults will rinse with either the mouthwash or a placebo, then eat white bread, and have their blood glucose checked every 30 minutes for two hours. The goal is to see if killing mouth bacteria changes how carbohydrates are digested.
