Summary
This project aims to sequence the genes of 100,000 newborns in China over five years. The goal is to build a large genetic database to understand how common certain inherited diseases are in newborns. This information will help create better standards for genetic testing and counseling, with the hope of improving early diagnosis and care for babies with genetic conditions.
