Brain scans reveal why some kids struggle with weight loss
NCT ID NCT04520490
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a weekly injection (Bydureon®) to standard family-based behavioral therapy helps children aged 10-12 manage their weight better. Researchers will use brain scans to see how kids' brains respond to food cues and if this affects their treatment success. The goal is to understand why some children respond well to obesity treatment while others do not.
