Summary

This study looks at 135 preschool children aged 3 to 6 to see if being raised by relatives, caregivers, or in daycare affects their development, sensory processing, and sleep. Researchers will use standard tests to measure these areas and compare results across different caregiving models. The goal is to understand how caregiving environments may relate to child health and well-being.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help identify which caregiving models best support healthy development and sleep in young children.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, so it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may not apply to all children or caregiving situations.
