First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a drug called chiglitazar, combined with anti-inflammatory and liver-protecting treatments, can help people with both type 2 diabetes and a serious fatty liver disease called MASH. About 300 adults will receive either the combination or a placebo to see if it reduces liver inflammation and scarring. The goal is to improve liver health without making the disease worse.
