First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether chewing food for 10 minutes before each feeding can improve quality of life and nutrition in stroke patients who have trouble swallowing. 120 patients were split into two groups, both receiving standard care, but one group also did chewing training. Researchers measured swallowing function and quality of life to see if chewing made a difference.
