NCT ID NCT07549035

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a new, simple method to help doctors place the tip of a port (a small device under the skin used for long-term treatments like chemotherapy) in the right spot. The method uses a recent chest X-ray to measure the correct catheter length before the procedure. The goal is to see if this low-cost technique can reduce complications and improve accuracy for 120 adults needing a port.
