NCT ID NCT07549035
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether a simple measurement from a chest X-ray can help doctors place the tip of a long-term IV port in the right spot. About 120 adults getting a port for chemotherapy or other treatments will have their catheter length estimated using this method. The goal is to see if it works as well as other techniques, which could make the procedure faster, cheaper, and available in more hospitals.
