First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests a new, non-invasive chest stabilizer for people with multiple broken ribs from blunt chest trauma. The device is worn for 10 days and aims to reduce pain, improve breathing, and lower the risk of lung complications like pneumonia. 74 adults will be randomly assigned to either standard pain management or the new stabilizer. The goal is to see if the device offers safer and more comfortable recovery than current care.
