First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new chest stabilizer for people with multiple broken ribs from blunt chest trauma. The device is worn for 10 days and aims to reduce pain, improve breathing, and lower the risk of lung complications like pneumonia. About 74 adults will be randomly assigned to either standard pain care or the stabilizer. The goal is to see if the device offers safer and more comfortable recovery than current treatment.
