Summary
This study tested whether a chatbot on WhatsApp could help adult smokers quit. Over 1,000 participants in Hong Kong received either brief advice alone or brief advice plus 12 weeks of chatbot support. The main goal was to see if the chatbot led to more people quitting, confirmed by breath and saliva tests.
