First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aims to find out how often Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) occurs in people with vision loss from conditions like macular degeneration or glaucoma. CBS causes complex visual hallucinations in people who are otherwise mentally healthy. Researchers will use questionnaires to track symptoms and psychological impact in 640 participants aged 40-70. The goal is to better understand and raise awareness of this often-hidden condition.
