First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether toothbrushes with charcoal-infused bristles collect fewer bacteria than standard nylon ones. 36 healthy adults and children used either a charcoal or nylon toothbrush for one day and one week, then returned them for lab testing. The goal was to see if charcoal bristles are a more sanitary option for daily oral care.
