Can a simple device help bridge the diabetes care gap?
NCT ID NCT05766488
Summary
This study is testing whether a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) helps adults from underserved communities (like those with low incomes or no insurance) manage their type 2 diabetes better than a traditional finger-prick meter. About 50 participants will use either the CGM or the standard meter for 6 months while their care team monitors their progress. The goal is to understand the benefits and challenges of using this technology to improve long-term diabetes care for people who often face extra barriers.
