Could a simple patch replace the glucose drink test for diabetes in pregnancy?
NCT ID NCT06858787
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study checks if a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) worn on the skin can accurately diagnose gestational diabetes in pregnant people. About 150 participants will wear the monitor and also take the standard glucose drink test to compare results. If the CGM works well, it could offer a simpler, more comfortable way to screen for diabetes during pregnancy.
