Could a simple patch replace the sugary drink test for diabetes in pregnancy?

NCT ID NCT06858787

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study checks if a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) worn on the skin can accurately diagnose gestational diabetes in pregnant people. About 150 participants will wear the sensor and also take the standard glucose tolerance test. If the CGM works well, it could offer a more convenient way to screen for diabetes during pregnancy.
