Glucose monitors tested in teens to stop diabetes before it starts

NCT ID NCT07569185

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) along with standard education can help pre-diabetic teenagers improve their blood sugar and adopt healthier habits. Twenty-five teens aged 13-17 will be tracked for 20 weeks, first with education alone, then with a CGM added. The goal is to see if this approach can prevent the progression to type 2 diabetes.
