Scientists track CF drug effects with sweat and tissue tests

NCT ID NCT04732910

First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at how well CFTR modulator drugs work in people with cystic fibrosis by measuring specific markers of CFTR function, such as sweat chloride and electrical signals in the nose and rectum. Researchers will follow 500 participants who are already taking these drugs as part of their regular care. The goal is to better understand how these treatments affect the body, not to test a new drug.
