First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether an Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean (ERAS) protocol—a set of steps to speed recovery—improves how mothers and fathers bond with their newborn after a C-section. About 300 families will be randomly assigned to either the ERAS plan or standard care. Researchers will measure bonding, mood, and breastfeeding success in the first week after birth.
