First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether an Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean (ERAS) protocol helps mothers and fathers bond better with their newborn compared to standard care. About 300 families having a planned or needed C-section will be randomly assigned to either the ERAS plan or usual care. Researchers will measure bonding, mood, and breastfeeding success in the first week after birth.
