Oxygen check: tiny sensors probe cervical tumors during radiation

NCT ID NCT03970083

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study measures oxygen levels inside cervical cancer tumors during a type of radiation treatment called brachytherapy. Ten adults with cervical cancer will have tiny oxygen sensors placed in their tumors during the procedure. The goal is to learn how oxygen levels relate to treatment response, not to provide a new treatment itself.
