Light could reveal hidden cervical cancer clues
NCT ID NCT00900575
Summary
This study is testing whether special light technology can help doctors better identify cervical cancer during routine exams. Researchers will use optical spectroscopy—a technique that analyzes how light interacts with tissue—to look for unique patterns in cervical cells. The study involves 350 women who are already scheduled for cervical cancer screening or follow-up procedures.
