First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding folic acid and vitamin B12 to locally made cereals could improve the health of teenage girls in rural Ethiopia. About 472 girls aged 13-19 took part. The goal was to see if this simple, small-scale approach could boost vitamin levels, thinking skills, and mood, and reduce anemia.
