Brain sensitivity may predict shoulder injection success
NCT ID NCT05926895
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a condition called central sensitization (where the nervous system is extra sensitive to pain) affects how well a steroid injection works for shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff problems. 44 adults with shoulder pain received an injection, and researchers tracked their pain and movement. The goal was to see if people with central sensitization had worse results, helping doctors personalize treatment in the future.
