Summary
This study tests whether centhaquine, a drug already approved for shock, can help people with moderate to severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a life-threatening lung condition. About 80 adults in the ICU will receive either centhaquine or a placebo alongside standard care. The main goal is to see if the drug improves oxygen levels and reduces deaths.
