First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining an immunotherapy drug (cemiplimab), a topical cream (imiquimod), and laser therapy before surgery can cure high-risk basal cell skin cancer. About 18 adults with large or difficult-to-treat tumors will receive the combination or immunotherapy alone. The goal is to increase the chance of a definitive cure and reduce the need for disfiguring surgery.
