Scientists hunt for hidden clues in rare eye diseases

NCT ID NCT07063719

First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study aims to find biological markers (genes and proteins) in blood, tears, and eye cells from adults with seven rare eye diseases. Researchers will compare these markers between patients and healthy people to understand the diseases better. The goal is to pave the way for future treatments, not to test any drug directly. About 110 participants will provide samples at centers in France, Germany, and Italy.
