First-in-Human trial tests engineered 'Assassin' cells against aggressive blood cancers

NCT ID NCT03829540

Summary

This is an early-stage safety study for a new type of personalized cell therapy called CD4CAR. It is for adults and teens (12+) with T-cell leukemia or lymphoma that has come back or not responded to standard treatments. Doctors will collect a patient's own immune cells, genetically modify them to target cancer, and infuse them back to see if they are safe and can fight the disease.

This is a summary of the original study . Summaries may miss details or leave out important information.
