NCT ID NCT07524868
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to standard medication could reduce auditory hallucinations and inflammation in 50 adults with schizophrenia. Participants either received CBT plus their usual antipsychotic or medication alone. Results measured changes in hallucination severity and a blood marker of inflammation. The goal was to see if talk therapy can improve both mental and physical health in people with persistent voices.
