Summary

This study tested a new combination of two talk therapies for adults with eating disorders who are not underweight. Twenty participants were randomly assigned to either standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E) or a mix of CBT and metacognitive interpersonal therapy (CBT-F+MIT). The goal was to see if the new approach improves symptoms and keeps people in treatment better than the standard one.
