First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study uses a special scanning device to measure how stiff the lens of the eye becomes with cataracts. Researchers will compare these measurements with standard cataract grading and surgery energy needed. The goal is to better understand cataract properties, which could help improve future treatments. About 50 adults scheduled for cataract surgery will participate.
