New eye scanner could predict surgery difficulty

NCT ID NCT07425626

Summary

This study is testing a new scanning device to measure the stiffness of lenses with cataracts. Researchers want to see if these stiffness measurements can help predict how much energy will be needed to safely remove the cataract during surgery. The goal is to gather information that could one day help surgeons better plan cataract operations.
