Lymph node shots for cat allergy: a safer way to tame sneezes and asthma?

NCT ID NCT06960382

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to treat cat allergies by injecting a small amount of cat allergen directly into a lymph node in the groin. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can reduce allergy symptoms, including asthma, with fewer injections than standard allergy shots. About 36 adults with cat allergy and mild asthma will receive 3-4 ultrasound-guided injections and be monitored for side effects and immune changes.
