Summary
This study tests whether giving cash payments to inner-city African Americans with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes can improve their blood sugar levels and quality of life. One group gets money for attending virtual diabetes education sessions every two weeks, while a comparison group gets cash with no strings attached. The goal is to see if financial incentives encourage better self-care and health outcomes.
