Summary

This study compares two drugs, carvedilol and propranolol, to see which is better at preventing another bleeding episode in people with liver cirrhosis who have already had variceal bleeding. About 350 adults aged 18-75 will receive endoscopic treatment plus one of the drugs. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to reduce rebleeding and improve survival.
