Engineered immune cells take aim at aggressive bone marrow cancer

NCT ID NCT03455972

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether specially engineered T cells (CAR T cells) that target two proteins on cancer cells (CD19 and BCMA) can safely control high-risk multiple myeloma after a stem cell transplant. About 43 participants will receive the CAR T cells and be monitored for side effects and how long the cancer stays away. The goal is to improve outcomes for people with an aggressive form of this blood cancer.
