Teen heart health: could carnitine be the key?

Summary
This study looks at whether a protein supplement called carnitine can reduce hardening of the arteries in teenagers at high risk for heart disease. About 90 teens aged 11-21 with high triglycerides will take carnitine or a placebo. The goal is to see if carnitine can improve artery flexibility and related health markers.
