First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a combination of three drugs (carfilzomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone) in 55 people with smoldering multiple myeloma, a condition that often turns into active multiple myeloma. The goal was to see if early treatment could stop or delay the disease. Participants received eight 28-day cycles of the combo, followed by lenalidomide alone for up to 12 more cycles. The approach aims to control the disease and reduce cancer cells to undetectable levels.
