AI matches radiologists in breast cancer screening study
NCT ID NCT07298252
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested an AI system called Carebot AI MMG to see if it can detect breast cancer from mammograms as accurately as human radiologists. Researchers looked at 222 past mammograms from four screening centers. The AI classified each exam as low, medium, or high risk, and its results were compared to readings from three experienced radiologists. The goal was to see if the AI could match or beat human performance in spotting cancer.
