First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested a new treatment for people with heart failure caused by a past heart attack. The treatment uses a patient's own bone marrow cells, processed and injected into the heart. The study included 125 adults with moderate heart failure and compared the cell therapy to a sham procedure.
