First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a new treatment for people with heart failure caused by a past heart attack. The treatment uses a patient's own bone marrow cells, processed and injected into the heart. The goal was to see if this therapy can improve survival, reduce heart events, and help patients walk farther. The study included 125 adults with moderate heart failure and compared the cell therapy to a sham procedure.
